my parents have been lamenting lately about how they've really been wanting to have my portrait done and i've been sighing obnoxiously at the prospect of being drawn/painted/whatever by someone lame and uber traditional. i would, however, die to have my portrait done by one Garance Dore: her sketches are beautiful in their black and white simplicity (and if there's one thing true about me, it's that i firmly believe that everything is better in black and white. *see my wardrobe) i especially love the detail in the eyes of her subjects... truly amazing. so Garance, if there's anyway you would let me sit for a portrait i would probably die of happiness!!
