i may be many things, but a "pink" girl is not one of them. that is not to say that i never wear pink but i do tend to stay away from bold and overtly girly colors. being blessed (i suppose i could put it that way) with a somewhat cubby-cheeked baby face, i've been trying my whole life to counteract my typically "cute" and "adorable" looks by cultivating a monochromatic wardrobe: a process that continues to be an ongoing battle, but luckily one that i seem to be winning.
needless to say i feel like daria, though a bit more of a tomboy than myself, has somewhat the same ascetic. typically we see her out in black, edgy rocker-chic ensembles so when i came across this layout i was a bit surprised as to how much pink was involved. i think i like it because of the disheveled and chaotic background, therefore making the girly pops of color a much needed focal point in all the pandemonium. and let's be honest, they could put daria in a brown paper bag and i'd still love her.
